Recently the question of “What is OWWWP all about?” has come up and I’ve had to think about whether or not this series is a good fit for my blog. Just so you know, I decided wholeheartedly “YES!” and this is why: 1) OWWWP is about the practice of PrettyRx in my life. PrettyRx means using the tools available to me to drag myself up and out of the muck I am feeling. I put on fun clothes and do my hair and makeup as a way to take a bit of control in my life. Having to do that for the blog keeps me in the game! 2) OWWWP is forcing me to consider my style and grow in style maturity. I only have what I have (as far as clothes/accessories/the body I’ve been given) and there is only so much pink to go around. Every week I have to find an exciting way to wear the same stuff I already own and its teaching me a lot about what I actually like. 3) OWWWP is fun. I mean, its fun for me. I hope its fun for you, but I do it because its fun for me. It gets me out of my head, out of the house (even if only on the back stoop), and doing something silly. The moments I spend putting these posts together are usually full of creativity and laughter, and they rejuvenate me. FINALLY 4) To quote Peter Pan, “Oh, the cleverness of me!” When I thought of doing a series called On Wednesdays We Wear Pink I thought I was the cleverest girl who ever lived, and I truly love to be thought of as clever.
